The Blueprint


Paul Bronson's "Blueprint for District 2" is a comprehensive plan to revitalize and empower the community. As a long-time resident and dedicated public servant, Paul understands the unique challenges and opportunities facing District 2. His blueprint focuses on fostering economic growth, improving public safety, enhancing educational opportunities, and promoting social justice. With a strong track record of leadership and a deep commitment to the people of District 2, Paul Bronson is ready to implement his vision and create a brighter future for all residents.

Arts and Culture

“I have a vision for places like the Tubman Museum and Sports Hall of Fame to reach the National level of tourism that it deserves.

Together, we will build upon the vision of our rich art and culture — ushering in:

  • Inclusive events that capture the true make up of Macon, GA.

  • Commission local schools and artist to use the city as their canvas (bridges, buildings, etc.)

  • Create ART and TECH Districts, Entrance Beautification Projects, and Culture Awareness

Reducing Crime

Together, we will reduce crime in District Two, using commonsense solutions such as:

  • Increasing the use of radars, traffic cams, technology and community policing by increase force by 20 percent.

  • Extending operational hours for gyms, pools, and community resources.

  • Increasing fines for illegal dumping areas, construction work ways, and school zones and Blight

  • Replacing open lots with green space, trails, dog friendly parks that include soccer, basketball and tennis courts for public use (with heavy lighting and emergency booths)

Career and Job Growth

Together, we will bring good, high-paying jobs by :

  • Investing in 21st Century Infrastructure that focuses on technology, transportation, rail and air.

  • Pushing Clean Energy Initiatives city wide

  • Increasing the support of Small and Minority Businesses

  • Bringing Work Ready Communities with added trade and tech training

Addressing Systemic Racism & Socioeconomic Concerns

Together, we will work to address Systemic Racism and Socioeconomic concerns by:

  • Overhauling of old policy and red tape guidance to simplify and streamline business development

  • Developing policies that would encourage home ownership and community stewardship, and Initiate a-HEAD (Housing Emergency and Displacement) Community Fund

  • Working with Department of Juvenile Justice and Bibb County DA Office to keep our young people out of the school-to-jail pipeline

Veterans and Homelessness:

Together, we will work to address issues faced by our Veterans and Unhoused by implementing:

  • Homelessness prevention that partners with legal services for low-income tenants

  • Effective discharge planning that includes housing assistance can help youth who are aging out of foster care, or low-income people living with mental illness, exiting correction institutions

  • Develop and implement a different approach to move long-term street homeless individuals directly into subsidized housing and then linking them to support services, either on-site or in the community.

Infrastructure and Technology:

Together, we will work to improve and tap into Macon’s potential by:

  • Connecting cities for growth by rail, air, and waterway

  • Long-term planning and investment to help Macon evolve to meet the needs of the future with stable returns

  • Incorporating Education and Training of Future Workforce, widen the platform for City-to-City Collaboration, and seek funding for City and District Innovation

Energy and Environment:

Together, we will work to save energy, save money, create jobs, and most importantly accelerate the nation’s competitiveness in the clean energy economy by:

  • Beautification projects to enhance our parks and recreational areas, develop safe trails, and green space

  • Work with stakeholders to increase the number of high-performing, energy-efficient homes and businesses in the Macon, Ga.

  • Reduce the amount of emissions used by government operated vehicles, increase the use of renewable electricity, and improving building efficiency
